Video games, comics, movies and pop culture has been embedded in my blood since I was a child. My father owned a comic book store in Brooklyn, NY called “Brain Damage” Comics. I was raised around it all for as long as I can remember. After school and on weekends, he would show me the value of helping the customers and creating a community long before social media. My father had a strong connection with everyone that came into his store, and that’s a value that I instill to this day at every career I’ve been a part of.
Within the last couple of years, I was also a co creator of an online web comic called “Yea…Bout that…” where I was a co-writer and creator of the characters used in each web comic. The comics were strips that we released weekly and were a combination of story based jokes along with video game and pop current events. During the same time period, I also represented the artist, Adam Soltys by branding him and building his name on social media as well as the convention circuit. Most recently, I have co founded a video game website called Gamer X Vault.
The work I’ve done for both Gaming age and Gamer X Vault has been through my own passion and motivation. My editor in Chief at Gaming Age, trusts my judgement with pitching new ideas for content to cover, shows to attend/cover and how we can increase our readers. After the first three months, I have assigned my own work and make sure to over communicate everything regarding the site. I’m considered a senior member of the staff. One of my key traits across my careers is Support. I’m passionate about being the go to person for assistance, encouragement, endorsements and leadership.
