The recipient of a bachelor's degree in cultural communications from the University of Phoenix, Jabari Edwards is an experienced project manager and entrepreneur who launched the insurance agency The Bridge Group in 2000. He continues to serve as majority owner of the firm, through which he has worked with clients such as the United States Secretary of State Global Embassy Arts and MGM Mirage. Jabari Edwards has since founded BH Properties, North Atlantic Security Company, and J5 GBL, LLC.
Through J5 GBL, Jabari Edwards oversees the deployment of environmental and safety services for complex construction projects. J5 GBL is a National Minority Certified Project Management Firm that specializes in asbestos air monitoring, due diligence services, site assessments and remediation, and compliance inspections.
A community-minded professional, Mr. Edwards is a board member for the Boys and Girls Clubs, and in the past served on the board of the Mississippi Health Trust Fund and as vice-chairman of the Columbus Housing Authority. In addition, he is an advocate for diversity in the business community. To that end, he worked with Wells Fargo CEOs to develop a business model for the firm's diversity initiative and testified in State of Mississippi hearings about race-based inequality in state-funded contracts.
