A resident of Lone Tree, Colorado, Jacob Scholl graduated magna cum laude from Metropolitan State University of Denver with a BS in international sports administration and agency law. He received a full scholarship through the college thanks to his high SAT scores (770/800 on the math section) and acceptance into work study at MSU. Jacob Scholl is now attending the University of Denver Sturm College of Law and is set to earn his JD in 2020.
While at law school, Jacob Schull has served in the student law office as the appellate student lawyer for the criminal defense clinic, delivering legal services across Denver. The institution’s student law office is ranked 7th in the country. Jacob Scholl has also served as a legal extern for Magistrate Hubler in the 2nd Judicial District of Denver, Judge Freyre at the Colorado Court of Appeals, and Judge Starrs at the 2nd Judicial District of Denver.
Passionate about criminal defense, Jacob Scholl is a member of his law school’s Criminal Law Association, and in 2020 will join the office of the Federal Public Defender of the District of Colorado as a legal extern. A strong believer in mentorship, Mr. Scholl is part of a Law School 101 program that mentors high school students who want to practice law, and is also a judge at the Denver Urban Debate League.
