As a senior finance and operations executive of several leading commercial real estate companies, James Kasim builds on more than two decades of experience in corporate finance. He earned his CPA license in 1994 and since that time has built an in-depth knowledge of capital raising and corporate re-organization as well as financial reporting and management, tax strategies, and general operations. James Kasim comes to his current role following a successful tenure as chief financial officer for Pacific Office Properties Trust, Inc., where he led the company's successful public launch and led all post-merger integration and reorganization efforts.
James Kasim also stands out as former senior manager for advisory and assurance business services with Ernst & Young's EY Kenneth Leventhal Group. There, he led a number of due diligence projects for mergers and acquisitions and oversaw compliance with a variety of federal regulatory systems. Comprehensively familiar with the rules and regulations of the Securities and Exchange Commission as well as the Sarbanes-Oxley Act and the Real Estate Investment Trust, he also managed attestation projects related to Statement on Auditing Standards number 70. A graduate of the University of Southern California's MBA program, James Kasim shares his expertise as an adjunct professor in the school's graduate real estate program.
