The owner of his own private surgical practice in the Dallas/Fort Worth suburb of Hurst, Texas, James Kevin Kaufman, MD, performs a range of neurological and complex spinal procedures. Before establishing his practice in 2011, he served for over a decade as a neurological surgeon with the Center for Neurological Disorders in Fort Worth. James Kevin Kaufman, MD, also spent a year as assistant to neurological staff for photography with Neurological Associates in Charleston, West Virginia.
Dr. Kaufman is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He also holds Midas Rex certification, as well as certifications in basic and advanced microvascular surgery techniques.
In addition to working directly with patients, he has a history of medical research that includes a Van Liere Memorial Research Fellowship. He has spoken numerous times before his medical colleagues and authored peer-reviewed articles for scholarly publications such as Spine, Surgical Neurology, and the Journal of Neurosurgery.
