A decorated law enforcement professional, James N. Hendricks recently retired after 22 years with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, most recently as a special agent in charge. In this role he oversaw seven regional offices in Vermont and upstate New York. Earlier in his tenure, he served as assistant special agent in charge, supervisory special agent, and section chief. He was also responsible for providing regular updates to senior White House officials and House and Senate staff. In recognition of his service, James N. Hendricks received the 2013 FBI Director’s Award for Outstanding Counterterrorism Investigation.
Mr. Hendricks holds a bachelor of science in criminal justice from Murray State University, where he completed his degree in just 3 years. Before joining the FBI, he served as an officer with the Henderson Police Department in Kentucky, ultimately achieving the rank of sergeant. In addition to implementing effective community-based crime prevention strategies, he contributed to recruiting efforts and diversity hiring as a recruitment coordinator.
