James Vendemia is a Pennsylvania-based educator with close to a decade of experience with schools across the state. Alongside teaching, James Vendemia has served as a teacher evaluator and principal at the Pennsylvania Cyber Charter School, which he joined in 2013.
With the school, Mr. Vendemia was responsible for welcoming and orienting new teachers while also taking part in the annual strategic plan committee meeting. His daily activities also included conducting formal and informal evaluations of teachers according to guidelines laid out in the PDE Educator Effectiveness Model.
A Kent State University graduate, James Vendemia holds a bachelor of arts in secondary education and language arts, which he earned magna cum laude in 2001. He also holds a master’s degree in educational leadership and school administration, alongside principal certification, which he received from the University of Pittsburgh.
In addition to being a member of both university’s alumni association, he is involved with the Local 431 Teamsters Union and attends St. Titus Catholic Church.
