Janina Casey, a finance professional in New York, has a unique professional background. While she was a child, she was involved in show business and performed as a child actor on television shows, commercials, and in theater productions. She appeared on the television show the Electric Company, where she was nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award, and performed in a production of the Sound of Music at the Guy Lombardo Theater. Additionally, Janina Casey earned a nomination for a Clio Award for her work on a Tic Tac Commercial.
Following this stint in acting, she decided to establish a career in the financial industry. After finishing high school, Ms. Casey enrolled at St. John’s University. While studying for a bachelor’s in finance at the institution, she was recommended for a summer management training program at Citibank. She completed the internship, and was subsequently the only participant to earn a job offer.
Janina Casey has now been working in equity research sales for nearly two decades. During this time, she completed additional management training programs at Princeton University and Harvard University and held various leadership positions at New York-based financial institutions. She also balances her professional responsibilities with her philanthropic activities. In addition to serving on the board of Urban Tech, a nonprofit that provides under-equipped schools with computers, she spent four years as a mentor and sponsor of two high school students who came from challenging economic circumstances.
