As the founder and managing partner of JMH Development, New York City-based real estate developer Jason Halpern has overseen and developed many residential units in high-demand boroughs such as Brooklyn and Manhattan. In this role, Jason Halpern has also led luxury projects located in some of the most sought-after locations in Miami Beach. In collaboration with architect Thomas Juul-Hansen, JMH developed high-end residences in the affluent enclave South of Fifth and the beach resort town of Surfside.
As part of his development philosophy, Jason Halpern believes in understanding and respecting the historical character of an area. With extensive conversion experience, he has been awarded the opportunity to develop landmark buildings with notable historical significance. JMH’s modern adaptation of the 1913 Brooklyn building 184 Kent earned recognition from the Building Brooklyn Awards from the Brooklyn Chambers of Commerce, for its stunning views of Manhattan and desirable location near the chic restaurants and shopping along Bedford Avenue.
In addition to his success in the property development sector, he is active with several charitable organizations. He is a major donor to the Joel A. Halpern Trauma Center, located in the Westchester Medical Center. The Level 1 center delivers emergency and trauma care to critically-injured patients.
