A graduate of San Francisco State University, Jeff Hornback balances a career as a real estate professional with a commitment to his community and the pursuit of a range of hobbies. A longtime resident of West Des Moines, Iowa, he regularly donates to the Des Moines Performing Arts organization in support of the Willis Broadway series. Jeff Hornback also stands out as a longtime blood donor who supports the Life Blood program.

An avid baseball fan, Jeff Hornback has traveled the United States on a quest to watch a game in every Major League Baseball (MLB) stadium. Since beginning his journey, he has visited stadiums in cities such as San Francisco, Seattle, New York, and Chicago, where he visited the legendary home of the Chicago Cubs, Wrigley Field. Also a bicycling enthusiast, he has participated in the Register’s Annual Great Bike Ride Across Iowa (RAGBRAI) long-distance cycling event.

Professionally, Jeff Hornback began his career in the transportation sector as a load coordinator with RPS in south San Francisco, and a territorial sales manager with Barr-Nunn Transportation in Granger, Iowa. In 2004, he founded West Des Moines-based HKB Rental Homes, a company that provides services for renters, buyers, and sellers. Since founding the agency, he has maintained a 95 percent renter occupancy rate.
