A fire analyst and investigator with a career that spans two decades, Jeff Tanski holds both an associate of applied science in fire protection technology and a bachelor of science in technical education from the University of Akron in Akron, Ohio. After completing a fire investigation internship with the Cleveland offices of FTI (then SEA), he accepted a position with the national forensic engineering company as a professional fire investigator. Jeff Tanski went on to serve FTI in Columbus, Ohio; Millersville, Maryland; Atlanta, Georgia; and Snellville, Georgia.

After serving as a fire investigator with the St. Paul Travelers Insurance Company from 2007 to 2009, Jeff Tanski went into business for himself as the chief executive officer of Veritas Fire Consulting in Peachtree City, Georgia. Over the past decade, Veritas he has headed a range of in-depth investigations in order to determine the origins and causes of fires in residential and commercial structures.
