As president of Bluestar Properties, Jeffrey Pikus operates a multi-building portfolio of both residential and commercial properties. In addition to his work in the real estate industry, Jeffrey Pikus oversees operations at his elementary school-based nonprofit program Kids Do Care. Inspired by the work of his mother, he started the program to meaningfully connect elementary school students with enlisted military members.
Kids Do Care partners with elementary schools to host in-school presentations whereby children learn about the sacrifice and bravery involved in military service. Subsequently, the children work together with their teachers to write and present personal letters that Kids Do Care forwards to deployed soldiers. During the presentation, the soldiers also have an opportunity to thank the children for their cards and letters.
Jeffrey Pikus has also fundraised on behalf of other organizations. He previously chaired a fundraising effort for Hale House, a nonprofit that supports individuals escaping family violence and people experiencing homelessness. During his free time, Mr. Pikus is a sports enthusiast who enjoys watching hockey and baseball games. As a Florida native, he cites the Miami Dolphins as his favorite professional football team.
