The recipient of a bachelor's degree in Geography from SUNY Buffalo, Jerry Corr completed a Master of Arts in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) at the University of Washington before beginning his career in project management. He has expertise in leading end-to-end project and program management, with accountability for requirements gathering, change management, risk and issue resolution, budget administration, and deliverables. In 2004, Jerry Corr established Ocean Sky Consulting to help fulfill the GIS requirements of Esri clients such as Bentek Energy, Pacific Gas and Electric, the U.S. Air Force Space Command at Peterson Air Force Base, and Southern California Edison. In 2017-2018, he was hired to manage and deliver the GIS portion of the Southern California Edison (SCE) Electric Asset Records Accuracy (EARA) program. He delivered the project four months ahead of schedule, generating $320K in savings for the client. He also served as the Senior Solution Architect, designing, coding, and testing an ArcGIS Survey 123 solution for a mobile IOS application that verified the data and location of every electrical infrastructure asset in the client’s service territory.
Jerry Corr has previously held client engagement positions with GIS Surveyors Inc. (GSI), and Urban GIS where he served as GIS Director, and Senior GIS project manager respectively. Supplementing his pursuits in delivering GIS services, Mr. Corr regularly attends the Esri Partner Conference, GeoConX, and the Esri User Conference. Ocean Sky Consulting, Inc. is an esri partner firm in the consulting discipline for utilities. He is a member of the Project Management Institute and is pursuing an MBA in Project Management from Southern New Hampshire University. In May of 2019, he completed a PM certificate for the PMP certification at CSU Global Campus, a PMI approved university with a 4.0 GPA.
