Jerry W. Burns is a semi-retired entrepreneur currently based in Dallas, Texas, where he draws on his business expertise as an associate at Bass Pro Shop. He comes to this role having served for 20 years as co-owner and vice president of Burns Craft, an Alabama boat building company whose portfolio included motor yachts, cruisers, and houseboats. Charged with all aspects of the company's operations, from yacht design to the driving of sales, Jerry W. Burns built a clientele that included several celebrities and crafted boats that remain on the water to this day.

An accomplished artist as well, Jerry W. Burns has painted a number of watercolors of trout and other fish. Examples of his work currently hang in a Colorado gallery. He has also published three books, including Preachers Kid: A Terrible Night in Grandfather's Cabin, Listen to the Music, and Good Grief. The books represent his intensive study the intersection of science and religion and philosophy.
