Drawing on more than two decades of experience as a Minneapolis-based lawyer, Jim Lamm practices through Lathrop GPM LLP, a law firm that is the product of a 2020 merger between Gray Plant Mooty and Lathrop Gage. Working with Gray Plant Mooty/Lathrop GPM since 2007, Jim Lamm focuses on several areas of tax and estate planning, including family business succession, charitable giving, and probate and trust administration.
Before beginning his tenure with Lathrop GPM, Jim Lamm served as an attorney with Rider, Bennett, Egan & Arundel, which he joined after finishing law school. Over his 10 years with the firm, he built experience in tax and estate planning and worked with a variety of athletes and entrepreneurs.
Jim Lamm has received a number of accolades during his career, such as recognition as a Minnesota Rising Star by Thomson Reuters and inclusion on the Best Lawyers in America list. He holds a BA in management from St. John's University in Minnesota and a JD from the University of Minnesota Law School.
