The recipient of a bachelor's degree in business and biology from John Carroll University, Joe Kwait combined the two specialties upon graduating by working as an associate director of regional operations for Bristol Myers-Squibb, where he oversaw financial functions and day-to-day operations for its West Coast Neuroscience Specialty Division. By 2005, Joe Kwait began understanding the concerns associated with the over-prescription of certain drug-based therapies and sought a more holistic approach to certain treatment methods.
In pursuit of this change of approach, Joe Kwait opted to enroll at Life Chiropractic College West, where he earned a doctor of chiropractic in 2008 after graduating with a 3.85 GPA. Three years later, he established Kwait Chiropractic and continues to operate the San Anselmo, California-based practice to this day. He specializes in chiropractic sports medicine, active release technique, and non-surgical laser therapy, the latter of which is effective at treating arthritis, soft-tissue injuries, and degenerative and neurogenic conditions. In his spare time, he maintains an active lifestyle through running, cycling, skiing, and CrossFit. He's also a youth sports coach.
