A member of the faculty of Florida International University (FIU) in Miami, Joel Feigenheimer teaches a variety of restaurant management courses, with an emphasis on operations. Mr. Feigenheimer covers such subjects as vender relationships, cost reduction, and supply-chain analysis and improvement.

Shortly after joining the FIU team in 2009, he established realEats.org as an online resource to familiarize students with concepts like sustainability and green supply chains. Under Joel Feigenheimer’s direction, realEats has evolved into a full-service consulting organization that serves a wide range of corporate and independent clients in the food and beverage industry. His company also educates the general public by providing a list of third-party-certified green organizations that are working to improve food quality and safety standards.

Joel Feigenheimer’s extensive knowledge of the food and beverage industry, coupled with his reputation for taking a “no-nonsense” approach, has made him an established expert in this field. He has also been called to testify as an expert witness in cases that involve hospitality litigation.
