Education administrator Dr. John Black possess two decades of leadership experience at schools in the United States and abroad. He started his career as a Peace Corps volunteer, teaching math (in French) in central Africa.. He then spent 6 years teaching middle school in the United States and 2 years teaching middle school in Honduras, where he taught in Spanish. In 1999, Dr. John Black accepted his first leadership position as principle at St. Anthony School in Manteca, California, where he oversaw a student body of 275 students in preschool through eighth grade. He then served as principal of St. Francis International School in Silver Spring, Maryland.
Dr. John Black then took on an overseas position as principal of Nibras International School in Dubai and headmaster of Noblesse International School in the Philippines before returning to Redlands, California. He now serves as head of school for Valley Preparatory School in Redlands, California.
Dr. Black holds a bachelor’s degree in math and economics, a master of education from the University of New Orleans, and a doctor of education from California Coast University.
