An entrepreneur with three successful companies in the Portland, Oregon, area, John Oscar Branch began his career as a petty officer third class with the US Navy. During the Vietnam War, he served aboard the USS Rowan (DD-782), which had an all-volunteer crew because of the dangerous missions it undertook off the coast of North Vietnam. John Oscar Branch even took part in the key battle Into the Lion’s Den.

After retiring from the Navy, Mr. Branch relocated to Tigard, Oregon, where he founded Oregon Chimney Repair and Cleaning, which continues to serve clients in and around Portland. He went on to start another chimney sweep company and a real estate appraisal company. He even earned an associate’s degree in real estate appraisal from Portland Community College to inform he responsibilities with his real estate appraisal business.

Now a resident of Sun City West, Arizona, Mr. Branch enjoys walking around the city every morning as a way to keep active. He also enjoys watching action movies and remains active with the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
