Drawing on more than three decades of experience in construction and facilities management, John Waitkunas leads the health-care, corporate-, industrial-, and biotech-business segments at STV/DPM (formerly Diversified Project Management) in Newton, Massachusetts, as company vice president and project executive. Over the course of his nearly 19 years at STV/DPM, John Waitkunas has managed numerous out-of-the-ground and interior renovation projects, including ones valued at more than $800 million. Prior to assuming his current position, he spent 10 years as a project manager and director of construction management in the health-care industry. His general contracting experience, meanwhile, includes time as a site superintendent and project manager.

Waitkunas, a construction management graduate of the Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, actively engages with a number of important industry organizations, including the International Facility Management Association (IFMA), the New England Healthcare Engineers’ Society (NEHES), and the local Commercial Real Estate Development Association (NAIOP) chapter. Outside of work, his interests include carpentry and fishing.
