Respected financial manager John Westerfield completed his undergraduate education at Dartmouth College in 1981, graduating cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Government. Subsequently, John Westerfield attended Harvard Business School, where he earned his Master of Business Administration in General Management in 1985. Immediately after graduation, John Westerfield launched his career in international finance by accepting employment with Morgan Stanley. He worked with the global finance company in the fixed income and investment banking divisions. For much of his 23 years at Morgan Stanley, John Westerfield served as the Managing Director and Global Head of Morgan Stanley's Commercial Mortgage Backed Securities Group (CMBS), a team of finance professionals working in New York, London and Tokyo. John Westerfield successfully managed the foremost global underwriter of commercial mortgage backed securities for seven years straight.
A deep interest in private investment led John Westerfield to leave Morgan Stanley in 2008 to pursue a career in evaluating and investing in various commercial real estate opportunities.
Currently, John Westerfield resides in Bronxville, New York, where he contributes to numerous charities and educational organizations, including the The Bronxville School Foundation, The Foundation for Educational Choice, the Harlem Childrens Zone, Babies and Childrens Hospital of NY, Doctors Without Borders, the Lawrence Hospital Center, The Reformed Church of Bronxville, Student Sponsor Partners and The Community Fund, of which John Westerfield previously served as a Board Member.
