An MBA graduate of Roosevelt University who completed executive education at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, John Klein draws upon extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry in his role as founder and chairman of Cambridge Therapeutics in Teaneck, New Jersey. Over the years, he has consistently implemented strategic plans and led innovative initiatives to turnaround corporations, drive sales, and increase shareholder revenue. For these efforts, John Klein has received numerous accolades and been recognized by The Wall Street Transcript, Business Week, and Forbes, among others.

Mr. Klein founded Cambridge Therapeutics in 2011, serving as the company’s CEO from then to 2017 before settling into his current role as its chairman. He comes to this position after numerous leadership roles in the pharmaceutical industry, including as the chairman and CEO of Dava Pharmaceutical Company until Endo Pharmaceuticals acquired it for nearly $600 million.

Previously, Mr. Klein functioned as, among other things, the lead independent director of Kindred Healthcare, chairman and director of NovaDel Pharma, and president of Ivax, which stood at the time as the largest independent drug maker in the world. He began his career in the industrial sector as an operations executive with Viking Technologies and Molex Inc., two companies that designed and manufactured microelectronic connectors.
