Over the course of his career, Jon Schorsch has worked to serve the public and his colleagues. He graduated in 2014 from the juris doctor program at the Seattle University School of Law, through which he served as an intern with the Kings County Department of Public Defense. Jon Schorsch also held internships with Teamsters Local 117 and the Mediation Clinic, in which positions he deepened his knowledge of labor law and employee relations.
Jon Schorsch entered law school after receiving a master's degree in public administration from Seattle University. He had previously distinguished himself as a sergeant with the Port of Seattle Police Department, which he served as an incident commander and in a number of other leadership positions, including team leader of marine operations for dive and boat missions. He also provided employment guidance to officers and conducted a number of public demonstrations on behalf of the K-9 unit.
Jon Schorsch contributes to his community as a self-defense instructor with the National Federation of the Blind and has served as a board member with Sight Connections, formerly Community Services for the Blind. In addition, Mr. Schorsch volunteers in the mediation department of the Volunteers of America Dispute Resolution Center and works with the Starbucks Diversity Mentorship Program.
