A magna cum laude graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, Jonathan Blanc received a bachelor of arts in English with a concentration in entrepreneurial management from the Wharton School. In 1992, he founded Varsity Athletic Apparel from within the confines of his dorm room, and he would eventually expand the company's varsity recognition keepsakes to what is presently more than 3,000 high schools and colleges across the United States and overseas. In his role as president and CEO of the company, Jonathan Blanc directs multiple company divisions and oversees wholesale distribution teams as well as the company's national sales force.
Under Mr. Blanc’s leadership, Varsity Athletic Apparel offers varsity letter awards such as the coveted varsity letter that every High Schooler can't wait to earn, as well as letterman jackets, sweaters, blankets, championship awards and branding programs. Mr. Blanc regularly attends athletic trade shows and partners with dozens of state and national athletic director associations on behalf of MVP Awards and Varsity Athletic Apparel. A former Collegiate tennis player, he still enjoys playing the sport in his leisure time as well as participating in various volunteer opportunities with his service dog.
