With more than 32 years of legal experience, Jonathan Clark Green Works for the City of Chicago, where he serves as supervising attorney in the city’s Department of Law. In this role, he handles all aspects of torts and civil rights litigation and acts as the city’s liaison attorney to the Civilian Office of Police Accountability. Jonathan Clark Green handles matters involving policy claims against the City, as well as cases involving illegal search and seizure, excessive force and wrongful death claims in state and federal courts. During his litigation experience, he has taken 16 jury trials to verdict in city and state cases and presented and defended testimony from numerous experts.
Prior to joining the city, Mr. Green served as a principal at the Law Offices of Green and Green, P.C., where he handled commercial litigation and corporate and transactional law. He also served as a special assistant attorney general for the Illinois Department of Securities, handling fraud prosecutions, and as an assistant attorney general in the Department of Government Representation of the Illinois Attorney General's Office. He holds an LL.M. from Georgetown University Law Center and a J.D. from Chicago-Kent College of Law at the Illinois Institute of Technology.
