Drawing on more than 30 years of legal experience, Jonathan D. Strum is a Washington, D.C.-based lawyer who is particularly versed in private equity and capital markets, international and domestic transactions, and asset-backed securitization. Jonathan Strum has provided businesses with strategic planning and venture capital services through the role of counsel and also oversees Prolithic Capital, a boutique firm which focuses on clean tech and infrastructure projects.
Additionally, Jonathan D. Strum provides counsel to companies such as Scheman Strum Transportation Peru, which is working to finance natural gas buses in Peru, and Planet Energy, a Canadian marketing firm that is undergoing expansion into American markets. He was previously Of-Counselto Patton Boggs and VP and General Counsel of Dubai-based Siraj Capital.
Mr. Strum also worked as an adjunct professor from 1991 to 2004 at Georgetown University Law Center, where he taught courses on the Israeli legal system and legal issue in the Arv-Israel Conflict. He earned a master of laws degree in international law from the school in 1990. He received his juris doctor from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law and holds a bachelor's degree in Middle Eastern and Russian studies from Hamilton College, where he was president of the Jewish Students Association.
