Before beginning his career as a wealth manager, Jordan Szekely of New York, NY, tallied a number of accomplishments in the world of tennis. The USTA No. 10-ranked amateur player while in high school, Jordan Szekely went on to attend the University of Michigan. While there, the future New York, NY, resident received the Outstanding Student Athlete Award and played on the school’s Big Ten Conference Championship-winning men’s varsity tennis team.
On top of his academic and athletic obligations at the University of Michigan, Jordan Szekely competed in USTA professional events as an amateur before transferring to the University of Pennsylvania. Playing on the men’s varsity tennis team in each of his three years at the Ivy League school, he eventually played No. 1 in both singles and doubles. His achievements also included captaining the team and making the Academic All-Ivy Team in his senior year.
Mr. Szekely graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a BA in economics and psychology and later earned an MBA in finance and economics from Columbia Business School. Although no longer competing in tennis on a national level, he continues to play the sport for fun.
