A decorated United States veteran, Joseph Fresolo maintains support for the Armed Forces and its veterans through involvement with several charitable organizations. He donates to the Vietnam War Museum, which promotes understanding of the Vietnam Era and the individuals who served, and to the United States Army Historical Foundation, whose projects include the construction of a museum in Virginia. A lifetime member of the Military Order of the Purple Heart, Joseph Fresolo enjoys reading books about the history of the Vietnam War.
During his military career, Mr. Fresolo served for 7 years as a member of the 9th Combat Infantry Division. After undergoing basic training at Ft. Riley, Kansas, Mr. Fresolo was deployed to the III Corps Tactical Zone of Vietnam as part of Operation Palm Beach. Serving in the Dinh Tuong and Long An Provinces of Vietnam, he and his division were responsible for protecting the area against Viet Cong insurgents while supporting the government’s pacification program.
