With a degree in communications for film and television from Regent University, Joy Chesbrough went on to work in production on award-winning projects with the Discovery Channel Network and Channel Space Entertainment. She later achieved a master's degree from the Caster School of Nonprofit Leadership at the University of San Diego, and also lived for three years in Switzerland while attending college.

Joy Chesbrough went on to an extensive career as a thought leader and executive in the non-profit sector, where she held positions with World Vision, MAP International, Scripps Health and PetSmart Charities before founding her own consulting company, Philanthrovation, which serves social enterprises and non-profit organizations.

She was recently honored as an executive producer for a dance show called Dance 4 Change Haiti as an aspect of her work as a consultant. She also held speaking engagements at Scripps Health's Natural Supplement Conference, Scripps Holistic Medicine Conference, and the Phoenix Business Journal Summit. She has been recognized by Who’s Who America for her work as a leader in the non-profit sector.

In addition to her work as an executive, Joy Chesbrough holds memberships with the Association for Fundraising Professionals, the Chamber of Commerce, and the Association of Healthcare Philanthropy.
