An accomplished international businessman and attorney, Juan Carlos Benitez has served as president of the Washington Pacific Economic Development Group since 2003. Headquartered in Hagatna, Guam, this organization is dedicated to finding and accessing Federal funding sources in order to promote economic development in key industry sectors and regions. Juan Carlos Benitez’s accomplishments with the Development Group include establishing the first low-income, housing-tax-credit project in the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI).
Over the past four years, Mr. Benitez has also assumed two associated executive positions on the Mariana island of Saipan. As the president of the Saipan Marianas EB-5 Regional Center, he has helped secure United States EB-5 green cards for foreign national investors since 2013. For the past two years, he has concurrently served as the president and chairman of the board for Saipan’s Latte Training Academy, an organization that provides certified vocational training and career development programs to benefit regional workforces in the Northern Mariana Islands.
