As a judge in the Domestic Violence Court of the Circuit Court of Cook County, Megan Goldish oversees felony, criminal, civil, and misdemeanor domestic violence cases. She presides over bench and jury trials and rules on relevant motions presented by the prosecution and the defense. Judge Megan Goldish has served in this capacity since 2014, prior to which she worked for 17 years as a lawyer in Cook County.

An advocate for the advancement of women in the legal sector, Judge Goldish received the Mary Heftel Hooton Award from the Women's Bar Association in 2020 for her efforts in this regard. She was also named Woman of the Year for 2019-20 by the Shomrim Society of Illinois, a Jewish Public Safety Organization. She is a board member of the Women's Leadership Committee for the Illinois Holocaust Museum, through which she promotes the museum's educational and social programming. In addition, she supports organizations such as the International Latino Cultural Center of Chicago, The Abolition Institute, and Bright Star Community Outreach.

Judge Goldish obtained her juris doctor from Northwestern University's Pritzker School of Law and has served as an adjunct instructor at the school since 2013. She is also an evaluator for its moot court competitions. She holds membership with the American Bar Association, Lesbian and Gay Bar Association of Chicago, and Jewish Judges Association of Illinois.
