A passionate interior designer, Julie Cavanaugh has maintained a passion for design, homes, and architecture since her youth. This interest began with her exposure to numerous environments during her childhood, and has culminated in her unique ability to blend functional sensibility, flow, and luxury into her designs. Recognized for her creative problem solving, Julie Cavanaugh leverages her passion and skills in leading Design Matters, a California-based business where she serves as senior interior designer and founder.

Ms. Cavanaugh established her own interior design business over two decades ago. However, it wasn’t until 2013 that the business began seeing substantial growth. This was marked by the opening of a Design Matters showroom venue, along with the creation of several company locations in Morgan Hill, Redwood City, and Los Gatos, California.

Ms. Cavanaugh and her team are also willing to travel, and have taken on projects in Florida, Arizona, and Wyoming. These include a 90-unit apartment building project that Design Matters is currently handling in Jackson Hole. All of these projects showcase Ms. Cavanaugh’s passion for creating detailed and thoughtful interior designs that thread together each room in the house to create a cohesive experience for residents and guests.
