The recipient of a bachelor's degree in political science and Chinese from Kenyon College, Justin Lacaillade also studied Mandarin Chinese at the Zhejiang University of Technology. While there, he put together a first-of-its-kind multimedia charity event, through which more than 1,500 textbooks and children's books were donated to the Hangzhou School for the Deaf and Mute. Philanthropy and the support of his community have remained a large part of Justin Lacaillade's life. To that end, he is a volunteer tutor and has dedicated time to various community kitchens and food banks.

Justin Lacaillade started his career as a customer service manager at ERICO International, Inc., where he provided technical support across four product lines in seven states. He later served the company as a sales engineer responsible for implementing an entry strategy for its ERICO Caddy product line in China. He then worked at the company as a product specialist for three years before joining General Electric Company.

From 2010 to 2019, Justin Lacaillade served in various capacities including product manager and channel sales manager at General Electric Company. In his most recent role as commercial manager for the Central and West zones, he oversaw a team of nine remote service sales professionals who sell software, SaaS, and healthcare networking products. Among other accomplishments, he helped increase point-of-sale contracts by 100 percent. He was recently hired as global segment director at Madison Industries.
