Among other designations, she is a Certified Executive Coach, a Certified Employee Benefits Specialist, and a Certified Senior Human Resources Professional. Karen Ahern also maintains an active role in the larger field through a faculty role with the Northeast Human Resources Association.

Karen Ahern brings extensive experience to bear in her role as Principal and Founder of SageWorks Consulting in Boston, Massachusetts. There, she works with clients to design innovative, customized human resources solutions such as organizational development, human resources strategy, talent management, total rewards and executive coaching.

Karen Ahern draws upon nearly two decades of experience in the human resources field. She has served as a VP of People and Culture for Planet Fitness Corporate Headquarters, Director of Compensation, Benefits and HRIS with Comcast Corporation, Senior Manager of Compensation with Constant Contact, Manager of Compensation, Benefits and HRIS with American Student Assistance, among other positions.
