Kariel Thompson has spent the better part of the last decade building a career as a speech-language pathologist (SLP). Practicing in Los Angeles, she focuses on assessing, diagnosing, and treating children believed or confirmed to have communication disorders and developmental disabilities. Kariel Thompson provides family-centered intervention, working with parents and service providers to benefit the children under her care.
Prior to practicing independently beginning in 2016, Ms. Thompson served for nearly six years as the clinical director of Julia Hobbs Speech Pathology in Los Angeles. She came to this role after earning a master of arts in communication disorders from California State University, Los Angeles. Her educational background also include a bachelor of arts in psychology from the University of California, Irvine.
Kariel Thompson maintains interests in several areas related to her field, including audiology and newborn hearing. She also supports research into autism, Alzheimer’s disease, multiple sclerosis, and breast cancer. In her free time, she enjoys staying physically active through pursuits such as hiking and skiing.
