As the founder of the Colorado Muslims Community Center, Karim AbuZaid holds the title of imam in Aurora, Colorado. Additionally, Karim AbuZaid established the Tafseer Al-Qur’an Institute, a full-time Islamic, Arabic, and Hifz studies program.

Through the Colorado Muslims Community Center, Karim AbuZaid teaches and provides motivational lecturers for Muslim and non-Muslim people of all backgrounds and ages. As an experienced leader, he offers a variety of related services, including counseling and leadership development assistance. He maintains a commitment to building a stronger community, and as a result, he devotes a significant amount of his work to the discussion and promotion of family values, morals, and ethics.

The phrase “tafseer al-Qur’an” refers to being skilled at elucidating the teachings of the Qur'an and, at the Tafseer Al-Qur’an Institute, Karim AbuZaid furnishes a range of training programs. Having developed a national and international following, he leads courses not only in Aurora but in the state of Maryland and in Egypt. He holds a PhD in Islamic theology from the American Open University in Cairo.
