Kate Merli is a respected presence in the New York financial sphere who leads the finance function of a growth-focused private equity firm. As chief financial officer with New 2nd Capital, Kate Merli provides hands-on guidance and sits on the fund’s Valuation and Operating Committees.

Ms. Merli collaborates with the deal team on investment memorandum tracking, as well as in ensuring that transaction costs, potential capital calls, and cash flow needs are met. She relays approved valuations to the fund administrator and oversees external services provider relationships. She is also responsible for the onboarding of new client accounts, and new fiduciary accounts with the fund administrator and custodians.

Holding a bachelor’s degree in accountancy from Bentley University in Waltham, Massachusetts, Ms. Merli was active with the Phi Sigma Sigma sorority throughout her time as an undergraduate. Kate Merli took on roles as campus ambassador and head resident assistant, and sought to improve the campus community as a Falcon Society member.
