A Fellow and life member of the Massachusetts Psychological Association, Dr. Kathryn "Kathy" Dardeck specializes in disaster mental health as well as physical and behavioral health integration. Regarding the former, she has held disaster mental health leadership positions with multiple state organizations including the Massachusetts Psychological Association's Disaster Response Network and Western Massachusetts Emergency Medical Services' Critical Incident Stress Management Team, as well as the Massachusetts Executive Office of Health & Human Services Disaster Mental Health Services planning committee. Dr. Kathryn Dardeck has also published relevant articles on topics such as post-traumatic stress symptoms associated with terror attacks.

Dr. Kathryn Dardeck has more than three decades of experience in academic settings. She presently serves as an adjunct faculty member at William James College, prior to which she served eight years as a full-time, core clinical psychology doctoral faculty at Walden University's School of Psychology in the College of Social & Behavioral Sciences. Prior to that, she was an adjunct faculty for six years in Walden's School of Psychology. She also held teaching positions at Lesley University, Holyoke Community College and Greenfield Community College. Dr. Dardeck began her career in academia in administrative roles, running a Boston-based internship program for 8 years at the University of Massachusetts, and serving as Assistant Dean of Students/Assistant Director of Career Counseling at Amherst College while finishing her dissertation.

Earlier in her career, Dr. Kathy Dardeck served on the National Committee of the American Psychological Association's Disaster Response Network, overseeing all 50 states. She also provided requested psychological consultancy services to members of the NYC Fire Department following the attack on the World Trade Center on 9/11. In addition to her academic and consulting positions, she has worked in medical settings at Valley Medical Group and Kaiser Permanente-Northeast Medical Group. She holds a master's degree in psycholinguistics and reading , and a doctorate in counseling psychology.
