A Senior Assistant City Attorney with the City of Atlanta Law Department from 2011 to 2019, Keisha Burnette handled legal affairs for the Mayor’s Office of Film and Entertainment as well as other city departments involved with television and film production. Her responsibilities included strategic planning, permitting, intellectual property, contract negotiation, and regulatory compliance. Keisha Burnette’s work facilitated the completion of locally-shot projects that range from major motion pictures such as Black Panther and Hidden Figures to network television programs such as Family Feud and The First 48.
Before entering into public service with the City of Atlanta, Keisha Burnette managed legal affairs for Atlanta’s Turner Broadcasting System, Inc. Ms. Burnette served as Turner’s Corporate Legal Manager in charge of marketing, privacy and interactive services, overseeing the development and negotiation of a broad spectrum of legal and marketing agreements for shows including the SAG Awards, TCM's 31 Days of Oscar and The Closer.
