I studied Classics and Modern Languages (Spanish) at the University of Oxford followed by two postgraduate degrees in Linguistics at the Universities of Manchester and York. I am now a data-scientist and I do statistical analysis for IBM. I am also a professional public service interpreter and a language teacher with years of experience working in the north of England and remotely for American corporations. In addition to these, I am a freelance journalist and I am a regular contributor for Asian Times, The Conversation and Vox.com.
