Wessell Fragrances

A former president of the Fragrance Materials Association and recipient of its Eric Bruell Distinguished Service Award, Ken Wessel is a retiree who resides in Vero Beach, Florida. Prior to retiring, Ken Wessel accrued more than 50 years of experience in the fragrance industry. He owned his own fragrance company from 1988 to 2008 and previously served more than two decades as president of deLaire, Inc., in New York City.

Ken Wessel began his career in 1961 working in the perfume research and development department at Procter & Gamble. Augmenting his career in the fragrance industry, the Florida resident held membership with professional organizations like the Personal Care Products Council and the Research Institute for Fragrance Materials, the latter of which he served as vice chairman.

Mr. Wessel attended the University of Cincinnati and has supported several nonprofit organizations dedicated to improving quality of life throughout his career. These include the Family and Children's Association, Spectrum for Living, and the Boys and Girls Clubs of Indian River County.
