Based in Chester County, PA, former BTG international, Inc., executive Kenneth “Ken” Pugh has extensive business growth and commercialization experience, and has implemented complex plans within fast-paced environments. As BTG vice president, Kenneth Pugh worked to ensure that best practices were followed in biopharmaceuticals and interventional medicine commercialization.
With a focus on interventional oncology and rare and life-threatening diseases, Mr. Pugh guided 120 personnel spanning a matrix that included sales & marketing, medical affairs, corporate communications, and global market access. His accomplishments included boosting IO medical-device sales from $35 million to more than $140 million within a three-year time frame. He also accelerated cross-business-unit performance in Latin America, in the process achieving a positive net margin gain and positioning it as the most profitable region.
Mr. Pugh’s current posts include one as board member with Prohibix, LLC, in Philadelphia, and he has advanced groundbreaking technologies that provide innovative options in areas such as osteoarthritis, heart disease, and oncology. For Essential Medical and Intact Vascular, he is consulting with both companies to commercialize novel medical devices to set launch in the US upon regulatory approval and several countries abroad. He also advises and serves as council member with the Gerson Lehrman Group and provides C-suite executives with recommendations spanning market trends and global commercialization strategies.
