A radiation oncologist with decades of experience in treating brain and central nervous systems cancers, Kevin Murphy, MD, established the stereotactic radio surgery (SRS) service at UC San Diego Health. Clinical focus areas in which Kevin Murphy, MD, has leadership experience include the treatment of spinal cord and brain tumors, as well as central nervous system conditions and pediatric radiation oncology.

A current focus for Dr. Murphy is research and development activities at PeakLogic, a medical software company, where he works to develop next generation neurocognitive solutions. Dr. Murphy and his colleagues are using personalized repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (PrTMS) (registered) to assess improvement in a variety of cognitive functions, including sleep, reaction time and ability to focus.

At Mindset, Dr. Murphy works closely with patients who have experienced post traumatic stress (PTS) and trauma, as well as those seeking to improve cognitive function and other aspects of human performance. Having served in the U.S. Navy as an officer in Operation Desert Storm, Dr. Murphy has a particular interest in improving the lives of current and retired military members and their loved ones.
