As a staff physician with the Maryland Vision Institute in Hagerstown, Dr. Michelle Huzella treats a wide range of eye conditions, using both medical and surgical means. Through her postgraduate training and professional experience, she has developed expertise in diseases and disorders ranging from glaucoma and uveitis to ocular oncology. Dr. Michelle Huzella is also the founder, owner, and chief ophthalmic consultant of Bella Vision, a Spartanburg, South Carolina-based organization that offers a variety of clinical and educational ophthalmology services.

Over the years, Dr. Huzella has established lasting relationships with multiple professional organizations, including the American Academy of Ophthalmology. She has also volunteered to provide free care through the Academy’s EyeCare America program.

Outside of the professional arena, Dr. Huzella is a skilled piano player and a passionate aficionado of musical and theatrical performance and makes regular donations to the Weinberg Center for the Arts. She lives with her husband, a veterinary pathologist, in Frederic, Maryland, where the couple is raising five children and multiple pets.
