The recipient of a BA in art history from the University of Richmond in Virginia, Kraig Culbertson subsequently earned an MS in library science from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg. Soon after that, he began working as an associate librarian at Princeton University in New Jersey. Kraig Culbertson served in the Princeton library's department of rare books and special collections for 10 years before being hired as chief archivist of the rare books collection of the G. Swem Library at William and Mary.
Kraig Culbertson has maintained his position at the college since 2006. In addition to organizing manuscripts, digital collections, and rare books and periodicals, he provides services such as records management and assistance with thesis and dissertation submission. Beyond his professional pursuits and passion for Renaissance literature, Mr. Culbertson enjoys playing golf and lawn croquet as well as sailing. He is also interested in studying languages.
