An experienced interior designer and philanthropist, Laurette Shaw holds a bachelor of science in interior design from the University of Georgia in Athens. While working toward her undergraduate degree, Laurette Shaw completed an internship with Phillips Incorporated in Savannah, Georgia, where she learned the business from the ground up.

Ms. Shaw returned to Phillips Incorporated after graduation and accepted a formal position assisting area clients as they chose furniture and other interior features for their newly constructed homes. Relocating to the Greater Atlanta area in the early 1990s, Ms. Shaw served interior design tenures with Interior Design Atlanta and as an independent contractor.

In addition to her design work, Laurette Shaw actively supports local pediatric medicine initiatives through partnerships with Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and Children's Circle of Care. In 2013, Ms. Shaw and her husband donated approximately 100 acres of land to the Savannah College of Art and Design for the construction of a new equestrian riding arena.
