For more than three decades, Leonard Gulotta has been working as an engineer specializing in mechanical systems design for research and laboratory facilities in New York and New Jersey. He holds a bachelor’s degree in physical science from St. John’s University, along with a bachelor’s in mechanical engineering from the Polytechnic Institute of New York. Over the years, Leonard Gulotta of New Jersey has demonstrated a strong ability to explain complex systems distribution issues to his clients and has maintained a track record for completing work in a cost-effective and timely manner.
The partner in charge at AKF Group, Gulotta oversees projects from their inception all the way through completion of construction. When involved in a project, he handles everything from design and administration to management and coordination. Since accepting this position more than 20 years ago, he has been involved in numerous projects, including the Life Science Building at Rutgers University, the Laboratory Fit-Out for Universal Display, and module labs and various upgrades for the Environmental Protection Agency.
One of Gulotta’s more recent projects include University Hall at William Paterson University. This 80,000-square-foot academic building opened six months ahead of schedule in 2016 and is the first step to modernizing the campus’ facilities. It also won the NJBIA’s 2016 Good Neighbor award. Meanwhile, Gulotta served as the partner in charge for the building of the institution’s Preakness Hall.
