Based in New York City, Lesley Friedman Bodzy is an active artist in both New York and Houston, as well as an art student in Chicago. She primarily works as a painter, though her projects range from representational art created with oil and acrylics to abstract art using mixed media presentations. She has recently begun to explore sculptures made with a 3D printer. Over the course of her career as a painter, Lesley Friedman Bodzy's art has been exhibited at galleries and museums in New York City and around the country, including Site:Brooklyn, NY. She was chosen for “Discovery: 13 Emerging Artists of 2019” at the Stone Quarry Hill Art Park, Cazenovia, NY.
Ms. Bodzy studied history at Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, Massachusetts, graduating with a bachelor of arts. More recently, she has enrolled in a MFA studio art program at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC). Lesley Bodzy’s studies are expected to culminate in 2021. Prior to enrolling at SAIC, she spent time studying painting at Hunter College and drawing at the New York Studio School.
