Based in Green Bay, Wisconsin, Lisa Meli is an established educator who most recently held responsibilities as an ESL and Italian teacher within the Kenosha Unified School District. After earning her bachelor’s degree at the University of Wisconsin, Lisa Meli pursued a master’s degree in Italian Literature before moving to New York City and gaining certification in Writing for Television at the RCA Institute.
Starting her career writing scripts for public television in Wisconsin, Ms. Meli worked on educational programs such as Up a New Rope, which covered AIDS and addiction. She next helped establish the print shop Midtown Printing and took on diverse oversight responsibilities as business director, graphic artist, copywriter, and sales representative.
After a decade, Ms. Meli transitioned into teaching, and she also served as a study abroad program coordinator. Among her roles was managing a South Korean exchange program, where she assisted state universities in the recruiting of student participants. Lisa Meli’s program involvement extended to creating a guide that provided detailed information on the homestay, ESL, and cultural exchange aspects of the study abroad experience.
