Loren studied Comptuer Science Engineering at the University of Illinois and was lucky to witness the birth of the web up close. He caught the software venture bug working for Wolfram Research in college. He has 10+ years experience as a programmer, cutting his teeth at names like Intel and Microsoft. After aiding a public dotcom turnaround Centerspan (formerly Thrustmaster) with engineering and strategic planning, he co-founded as CEO, a website monitoring & capacity planning MSP (pre-SaaS verbiage). That venture, DevelopNet, raised $800k in angel funding but shutdown in 2003.

He is an investor or owner of a handful of SaaS products and lead generation websites.
